La Pietra™

The paver that looks like a natural slab stone

La Pietra™ is naturally elegant and eye-catching! The textured surface treatment and generally larger sizes of La Pietra™ replicate the look of natural slab Pennsylvania bluestone. This family of slabs consists of five basic sizes that all module off of a base of 7, 14, and 21 inches. The unique size and texture of La Pietra™ is another exciting option in our growing family of paving stones.

La Pietra™ is now available individually, opening up a whole world of pattern options!

90° Herringbone uses 100% of any rectangular stone

This five-stone pattern works with our entire Granite Stone line as well as our Leiden Collection and La Pietra lines. It uses 41% large squares, 27% large rectangles, 18% medium squares, 9% small rectangles, and 5% small squares.

Works with Leiden, La Pietra, & La Pietra Moderna (i.e. 46% Double Park, 31% Park, 15% Holland, 8% Half Holland)

Modified Marseilles uses 30% Plaza or La Pietra™ 14×21, 40% Park or La Pietra™ 14×14, 20% Holland or La Pietra™ 7×14, and 10% Half Holland or La Pietra™ 7×7

Notice: If you use La Pietra™ Quattro, you will have some stones leftover from each layer because this pattern does not match up exactly with the layer quantities.

Muster K uses 73% rectangles and 27% squares

Works with Leiden, La Pietra, & La Pietra Moderna (i.e. 50% Plaza, 22% Park, 22% Holland, 6% Half Holland)

NOTICE: La Pietra pavers purchased by the layer can only be Cambridge Blend, Jamestown Blend, and Columbia Blend.

Works with Leiden, La Pietra™, and La Pietra Moderna™ (i.e. 34% Plaza, 44% Park, 11% Holland, 11% Half Holland)

Random layouts are commonly used when laying paving stones of various sizes that module together such as the five stone Granite, the five stone Leiden Collection (shown above) and La Pietra™ Quattro. Random layouts are not a pattern. They are literally any placement of the stones in any order.

Two simple tips to ensure that you are laying a true random layout are:

  1. Never have four corners meet
  2. Never have any joint running linearly for more than about nine feet.

Running Bond uses 100% any rectangular or square stone

Stack Bond uses 100% of any rectangular or square stone.

Two stone running bond works with any stone that has three sizes it can module with. Typically, it uses 60% large rectangles and 40% squares. If you use squares and small rectangles, the ratio shifts to 60% squares and 40% small rectangles.

Delivery & pickup

Know exactly how to get this product from the warehouse to your house.

Do you deliver? If so, how does it work?

Absolutely. Unless you’re installing a fire pit kit or building a stone grill surround, you’ll likely need the assistance of a 48-foot flatbed semi-truck with a carry-on forklift. Before we deliver, we’ll always verify that we can access the drop site. We’ll need enough room to turn a large truck around along with 15 feet vertical clearance above any trees or carports.

How much does a pallet of stones weigh?

A pallet of stones weighs about 3,000 pounds, the same as a Ford Focus. That’s a ton and a half of concrete blocks! Each pallet contains about 100 square feet of stones. If you want to know approximately how many pallets you’ll need for your project, divide your total square footage by 100.

If I have extra stones, can I return them?

There’s nothing worse than being stuck with something you don’t need. That’s why we’ve always let our customers return extra stones in like-new condition for a full refund. It’s industry standard to charge a per-stone restocking fee for any returned items, but since it’s challenging to deliver the precise amount of stones for a project, we don’t charge any extra fees.

Do I have to return the pallets my pavers arrive on?

No, you don’t have to return the pallets. However, just like glass milk jars or pop cans, we charge a deposit for each pallet delivered so that we can get our pallets back in order to repair and reuse them again and again.

Any time after delivery, you can bring your pallets back for a full refund. If you have a few pallets of extra stones, you can return them just as they came for a full refund on the stones and the pallets. Customers will often rush individual pallets back during their project, but there’s no rush. You can return the pallets in bulk after the project is complete without accruing any interest or late fees.
