Why Use La Pietra™ Pavers?
If you are looking for natural elegance for your hardscape, La Pietra™ is just the thing.
The pavers replicate Pennsylvania bluestone and generally come in large sizes. La Pietra™ is also now available individually, where it used to come only by the layer (called La Pietra™ Quattro). This new individual option has opened up a new world of pattern options.
Surface Finishes
La Pietra™ is available as textured finish, or La Pietra™ Moderna as a smooth finish to suit your preferred style.
Five Sizes
La Pietra™ also comes in five sizes:
Small square: 7” x 7”
Small rectangle: 7” x 14”
Medium square: 14” x 14”
Large rectangle: 14” x 21”
X-Large square (Grande): 21” x 21”
15 Pattern Options to Choose From
Let’s dive into the different pattern options so you can see what you like best for your space!
90 Degree Herringbone
This pattern uses 100% of any La Pietra™ rectangular stone and lays each at a 90-degree angle with the one next to it.
Five Stone
This variegated pattern is designed for paver families like the Granite Stone, Leiden Collection, and La Pietra™. The La Pietra™ pattern consists of 41% x-large square, 27% large rectangle, 18% medium square, 9% small rectangle, and 5% small square.
Italia Pattern
The lovely Italia pattern works with Leiden, La Pietra™, and La Pietra™ ModernaTM. It consists of: 53% large rectangle, 27% medium square, 13% small rectangle, and 7% small square. The result is a large/small stair-step type of pattern.
Modified Marseilles
The Modified Marseille pattern is ideal for the new variation of La Pietra™ that comes individually. If you use La Pietra™ Quattro, you will have some stones left over from each layer because this pattern does not precisely match the layer quantities. Modified Marseille comprises 30% large rectangle, 40% medium square, 20% small rectangle, and 10% small square.
Muster K
If a woven-style pattern is what you want for your space, the Muster K pattern is perfect for you. Using 73% large rectangle and 27% medium square, the result is a traditional woven style that is always appealing.
Opus II Pattern
The Opus II pattern works with both La Pietra™ and La Pietra™ Moderna. It comprises 50% large rectangle, 22% medium square, 22% small rectangle, and 6% small square.
Palatial Versailles Pattern
This pattern is designed to make your space feel large and luxurious! It works with La Pietra™ and La Pietra™ Moderna. It consists of 34% large rectangle, 44% medium square, 11% small rectangle, and 11% small square.
Random Paving Stone Layout
If you appreciate whimsical-style hardscapes, try the Random Paving Stone Layout. Random layouts are commonly used when laying paving stones of various sizes that module together, such as La Pietra™ Quattro. This style is not necessarily a pattern but involves placing the stones in whatever order appeals to you.
Running Bond
This straight style is made 100% of any La Pietra™ rectangular or square stone, creating neat hardscape lines.
Stack Bond Pattern
The Stack Bond pattern is similar to Running Bond, but the result is a neat, square pattern instead of running lines. It is made 100% of any La Pietra™ rectangular or square stone.
Two Stone Running Bond
Another variation is the Two Stone Running Bond. This uses two La Pietra™ stones with a common width, such as a large square plus a large rectangle or a medium square plus a large rectangle.
Three Stone Running Bond
A further variation of the Running Bond pattern uses three La Pietra™ stones with a common width, such as a small rectangle, medium square, and large rectangle.
Three Stone Pattern
The Three Stone pattern is another woven hardscape style: 47% large square, 32% large rectangle, and 21% medium square.
Brickweave
If you love a brick hardscape style, try Brickweave. It consists of 50% medium square plus 50% small rectangle.
Plainweave (aka Driveway Leiden)
The most basic Plainweave comprises 57% medium square, 27% small rectangle, and 17% small square.
