SERVING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
At Western Interlock, we believe every hardscape project should last a lifetime, not just a season. That’s why our paver stones are crafted with the highest standards of strength, precision, and beauty.
We don’t just manufacture paving stones, we engineer them. Every stone is made at our state-of-the-art facility in Rickreall, Oregon, using advanced dry-cast technology. The result? Pavers that are denser, more durable, and more color-consistent than conventional alternatives.
You have options when it comes to hardscaping. So why choose Western Interlock? Here’s what sets our paving stones apart from the rest.
Our pavers exceed 8,000 PSI in compressive strength, well above industry standards. That means they’ll hold up under the weight of vehicles, freeze-thaw cycles, and heavy foot traffic for decades. Whether you’re building a driveway in Spokane or a patio in Salem, our pavers are built to handle real-life use in the Pacific Northwest.
We use precise molds and vibration-compression technology to produce paving stones with tight dimensional tolerances. That leads to cleaner lines, faster installation, and a more polished finish for your project. Consistency matters, and our process ensures every paver fits just right.
We believe hardscapes should reflect your taste, not limit it. That’s why we offer the widest selection of colors, shapes, and finishes in the region—from traditional cobble textures to sleek modern lines. Whether you’re aiming for a classic, rustic, or contemporary aesthetic, we have a paver that matches your vision.
Rain. Ice. Snow. Sunshine. We design our products for the realities of the Pacific Northwest climate. Our paver stones are made with low-absorption concrete to resist moisture penetration and damage from freeze-thaw conditions. They’re slip-resistant and tough enough to stand up to years of exposure.
Choosing Western Interlock means you’re never on your own. We provide detailed installation guides, hands-on video tutorials, and expert customer support to help you succeed. And with our Lifetime Product Warranty for residential installations, you can build with complete confidence.
While it might be tempting to lay pavers directly on dirt, we don’t recommend it if you want your project to last.
Without a proper base, pavers can shift, sink, and become uneven over time. A solid base provides the stability and drainage needed to maintain a long-lasting surface.
Here’s what we recommend:
This method ensures your patio, walkway, or driveway stays level and strong for decades. For step-by-step guidance, check out our DIY installation tutorials.
Absolutely. Our paver stones are ideal for both patios and driveways and are built to perform in each setting.
For patios and walkways, you’ll get a durable, stylish surface that can handle furniture, foot traffic, and the elements without cracking or shifting.
For driveways, we recommend pavers rated for high load-bearing applications (like Arena Stone, Holland, or Tegula) and proper base installation with additional gravel depth (typically 6–8”).
The key to long-term success in both applications is proper preparation, edge restraint, and compaction. Our pavers are built for load, weather, and beauty—and we’re here to help you make the right product choice for your project.
And if you’re unsure what thickness or pattern works best for your specific project, our team is happy to help you select the right product. We even offer load-rated recommendations based on soil conditions, slope, and use case to ensure optimal performance.
Maintaining your Western Interlock pavers is simple and doesn’t require a lot of time or expensive products.
Here’s how to keep your pavers looking great:
If you notice weed growth or moss in the joints, a gentle treatment with vinegar or an appropriate joint cleaner can help. For high-traffic areas, resealing every 3–5 years can keep your pavers vibrant and protected.
Yes. Our paver stones are specifically engineered to handle freeze-thaw cycles without cracking, chipping, or degrading.
We use dry-cast concrete with a low water absorption rate, which prevents water from getting deep inside the paver. That means even when temperatures swing from below freezing to mild and back again—as they often do in the Northwest—our stones stay strong and intact.
Proper installation with compacted gravel and drainage layers also ensures that water doesn’t pool beneath your surface, further protecting against frost heave.
Sealing your pavers isn’t required, but it can help enhance color, resist stains, and reduce maintenance. If you choose to seal your pavers, follow these best practices:
Wait at least 60 days after installation to allow for settling and curing.
Clean the surface thoroughly, removing dirt, debris, and joint sand from the surface.
Choose the right sealer: A breathable, penetrating sealer is often best for exterior applications. Look for sealers labeled for concrete pavers.
Apply on a dry, warm day (typically 50–80°F) with no rain in the forecast.
Use a sprayer or roller, following manufacturer guidelines.
Some sealers add a wet look or color enhancement, while others are clear and matte. Whichever you choose, sealing can be a smart step in protecting your investment.
Don’t forget to test the sealer on a small area first to ensure it produces your desired finish. And if you ever need to reseal, it’s important to clean thoroughly and strip any old sealer if switching products. When in doubt, reach out—we’re happy to guide you.
Weeds grow where conditions allow—so the key is to minimize those conditions during and after installation.
Here’s how to prevent weed growth:
Most importantly, remember that a well-installed paver surface with joint sand and proper slope will naturally stay cleaner and more resistant to weeds than poured concrete or gravel alternatives.
With so many shapes, textures, and color blends to choose from, selecting the right paver can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. At Western Interlock, we make it easy to match your aesthetic goals with the performance you need.
